Spurs Word On The Tweet

“Has to be sold” – Lots of Spurs fans destroy “headless chicken” who is “stealing a living”

|

Tottenham Hotspur boosted their hopes of qualifying for Europe with a fine 3-1 victory on Wednesday evening, although supporters were less than impressed with one player’s display.

Spurs defeated Newcastle 3-1 to overtake Sheffield United into seventh place and they have Harry Kane to thank after a second-half brace, which in the process landed him his 200th goal for the club.

However, despite all of the positives, a few members of the fanbase took a swipe at substitute Erik Lamela and some went as far as suggesting that the north Londoners should offload him in the summer.

Would you sell Erik Lamela this summer?

Nope!

100%!

He was blasted for being a “headless chicken” and for “stealing a living” whilst other words used to describe him included “awful” and “stupid”.

During his 28 minutes on the pitch, the 28-year-old recorded three successful dribbles, picked up one tackle and won six of his seven duels, via SofaScore.

Maybe such thoughts are a little premature, but let’s see what the final two matches of the season have to offer.

Brilliant run for third goal, skill and determination. He always gives 100%.

Won his duels, runs and presents and his efforts led to Kane’s goal. Watch the game, don’t have pre-conceived ideas.
