Spurs Word On The Tweet

“The new Bale”, “Levy messed up”, “Judas” – Lots of Spurs fans react as £55m report emerges

Lots of Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to the latest update on former midfielder Christian Eriksen this week.

According to Sport Mediaset, via Football Italia, Inter Milan are willing to listen to offers of €60m (£55m) for the Danish playmaker as he’s struggled to live up to expectations since his move in January.

It comes after Gazzetta dello Sport’s claims that as many as 11 players could be made available for transfer in the summer.

Would you have Eriksen back at Spurs?

Absolutely!

Not a chance!

Eriksen signed for the Serie A outfit for £16.9m and he’s only been able to provide three goals and three assists from 12 appearances, per Transfermarkt.

Many in north London have been quick to hammer him as a “judas”, claiming that the grass isn’t always greener whilst one supporter suggested that he’d become the new Gareth Bale as the 28-year-old is sure to be linked with a return every window from here on out.

Another fan even believes that Eriksen “is finished”.

Here’s the best of the reaction…

I believe he thought he was too good for Spurs and he just went through the motions.
Clearly now he has been found out. Let’s be honest he used to be a real good player great on set pieces and work ethic. But, past two years he couldn’t kick the ball into the penalty area from corners.
No one will pay £50 million for such a lazy player who really has lost it.

Ericksen had some really bad advice from his “friends” and sadly listened to it. He has gone now and he won’t be back. Sad when young players make decisions which impact their careers. Football is a short term career in any event; cutting it short is a big mistake. These players don’t need agents, they need career management specialists. Look how much Kane we lost to “Captain England” since 2017.
