Tottenham Hotspur could well be in for a busy transfer window as a new target has emerged from the shadows this week.
According to ESPN, Spurs are one of several top-flight teams holding a keen interest in Middlesbrough sensation Djed Spence and the Championship outfit are resigned to losing him this summer.
It’s claimed that Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of the 19-year-old as his son played alongside Spence in Fulham’s academy whilst the Portuguese boss is also understood to be willing to let Kyle Walker-Peters leave this summer.

So a new right-back could well be on the list of priorities.
Spence will cost the north Londoners around £10m though and they’ll have to beat off Premier League rivals West Ham, Brighton, Sheffield United and Southampton.
Former Spurs centre-back Jonathan Woodgate has praised the teenage talent in the past having managed him at Boro before his sacking whilst the right-back has even been likened to Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Man United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
“Djed came in and did an absolutely fantastic job,” said Woodgate. “Djed can do that. Okay, at times this season we’ve had to sit down and have a few meetings together, and tell him what his potential is. But I thought he was exceptional, and it’s his place to lose now because of that performance.”

Some members of the Hotspur faithful may have caught a glimpse of the Englishman in action as he played against us in the FA Cup back in January, starting both the 1-1 draw and the replay victory.
If Mourinho were to swap out KWP for Spence, it certainly wouldn’t be a bad way to go about things this summer.
