“That Isn’t Promising” “Rather Keep Llorente” – These Spurs Fans Aren’t Impressed By Latest Speculation

|

With Tottenham Hotspur being loosely linked with a possible return to former target Max Kruse at the tail end of last week, the news certainly sparked a reaction amongst the fans.

As previously covered, Sky Sports Germany reported that with the now 31-year-old out of contract in the summer, manager Mauricio Pochettino could rekindle his interest in the player as we sarch for backup for Harry Kane.

The report obviously leans on the assumption that we’ll also be losing Fernando Llorente and Vincent Jansson ahead of the 2019/20 campaign as well.

Previous interest notwithstanding, Kruse has had a decent year with Werder Bremen, scoring eleven times and providing eight assists in 29 matches so far across the 2018/19 campaign and with him being more of a versatile attacker, he could slot in nicely to Pochettino’s system and not just be a Kane alternative.

The age of the player doesn’t really seem to have excited fans, even as a freebie.
