Reports Claim Poch Will Return To An Old Target As An Easy & Cheap Spurs Option

|

With Tottenham Hotspur undoubtedly on the lookout for a backup striker to cover Harry Kane, we are being linked once again with Werder Bremen attacker Max Kruse.

Now on face value this doesn’t seem like a Mauricio Pochettino kind of move with the more usual youthful, development aspect to his approach at White Hart Lane, but with Vincent Jansson set for a departure next summer and Fernando Llorente likely to join him given all the speculation about his own future, Kruse does potentially become an interesting prospect – despite being 31-year’s-old.

Whether there’s any truth to this is open for debate, but that’s the rumour mill.

With youthful options available with Academy graduate promotions, Sky Sports Germany say that we are now keeping tabs on Kruse and will move against Inter Milan who are also claimed to have an interest in the future free agent.

He won’t cost a penny come the summer and a pre-contract can now be agreed given the rules, so I suspect if we have an interest, we’ll quickly hear when it comes to this one – but it does heavily hinge on reported interest in the player from back in 2015 where the London Evening Standard claimed we were potentially preparing a £9million offer – which clearly came to nothing.
