There are a few Tottenham Hotspur stories on the transfer rumour mill that just won’t go away as we head towards the summer, and a suggested return for Real Madrid player Gareth Bale has quickly become a hot favourite.
Some Spurs fans want him to return believing it would be a statement of intent at the new White Hart Lane Stadium, and believe that the 29-year-old still has plenty to offer despite seemingly falling out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu, particularly following the return of Zinedine Zidane.
Others, well, they aren’t quite as convinced given his relative form and more recent injury record at the club and some simply haven’t forgiven him for leaving in the first place.
The latest twist to the speculation linking him with a return came from the Sun and they simplified the finances down to a £10million loan arrangement, with Madrid continuing to cover around 50% of his reporte £600,000 a week wages.
It’s certainly a novel twist to the speculation, but plenty still won’t be won over, although there was some support for such a structured deal in other comments.
naaaaaah. No thanks. Would almost certainly be a negative influence on the current players, unless in the loan contract it is specified he can only say that he regrets leaving Spurs and advises others to stay.

Don’t want him anywhere near our club. He’s turned into a prima dona since he went to RM. Never forgive the way he left
