More Lazy Press Reports Are Trying To Unsettle Spurs

|

With all eyes on the upcoming Champions League Final out in Madrid between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, the decision by Juventus to part company with hugely successful manager Massimiliano Allegri was always going to result in further – baseless – media speculation about the future of Mauricio Pochettino.

Over the weekend the seeds for Poch to Juve were already being planted in some corners of the tabloids, and as if by magic on Sunday the Oh Diana amazingly had an ‘exclusive’ claiming that Poch was Juventus’ top target to replace Allegri, and as if we didn’t see it coming, Spurs had already shortlisted Allegri as our preferred replacement for Poch.

The only bit of non-assumption and non-invention in the whole piece is the twisted claim that “Pochettino, who has been openly hinting about quitting White Hart Lane if Spurs win the Champions League” because humour and sarcasm is clearly lost on the outfit.

Rather predictably (again) they go on to link him with every side in the top six other than Manchester City.

This is going to be another easy content runner for the press over the summer sadly.
