With Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho being photographed at the Allianz Arena over the weekend as RB Leipzig took on Bayern Munich on Sunday, plenty of fans are hoping that one of the reasons for his attendance was to cast his eye over centre back Dayot Upamecano.
The 21-year-old French Under 21 international has made 24 appearances for the club across all competitions this season and Spurs fans should get an opportunity to see him up close when RB Leipzig make the trip to White Hart Lane later this month for our Round of 16 Champions League clash.

For his age, he certainly has good experience, as having made 21 appearances for RB Salzburg, he made the switch to their Leipzig arm and now boasts 111 starting appearances under his belt.
Although it makes sense that Mourinho was there to watch them ahead of our clash, plenty hoped there was a dual reason when it came to Upamecano.
Surely Upamecano as well. Jose’s gotta love what he sees with him

Jose at the Allianz Arena watching RB Leipzig take on Bayern. He will have 3 opportunities to watch Upamecano in live action and hopefully direct @SpursOfficial closer to his €60m release clause.
Would be a proper monster for the next decade at centre-back. #COYS pic.twitter.com/5899Vxs3FG

I hope spurs pay stupid money for Upamecano next summer. Man he’s so fun to watch

Upamecano what a centre half. Going to be in such high demand in the summer but I’d kill to see Spurs go in for him.
