With yesterday afternoon’s news that Tottenham Hotspur Academy prospect George Marsh would spend the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign out on loan with League Two side Leyton Orient, it certainly seems to have struck the right chord with Spurs fans.
Young Spurs Duo Head Out For Experience – Fans Will Be Watching One Closer Than The Other
The 20-year-old midfielder made his debut for manager Mauricio Pochettino last January in our FA Cup victory over Tranmere Rovers (7-0) and having been pretty decently involved during our pre-season warm up, the spell out to League Two should be a good experience as he gets a taste of regular senior football and continues his development.
The loan is initially until January and we’ll have to see whether that’s simply to provide a break should his game time not be what we hope, or simply to see if he can spend the second half of the year stepping up to League One possibly.
In any event, fans are certainly pleased for him and they expect him to hit the ground running.
cracking player. hope he smashes it for the orient. still disgusted we haven’t held leyton for a friendly for justin
