Young Spurs Duo Head Out For Experience – Fans Will Be Watching One Closer Than The Other

|

Monday became a busy afternoon at Tottenham Hotspur, as two of our youngsters headed out to EFL clubs on loan spells to aid their development and increase their senior experience. George Marsh headed to Leyton Orient and Anthony Georgiou made the switch to Ipswich Town.

The first announcement concerned 20-year-old midfielder Marsh and having progressed through our Academy setup, he made his competitive debut back in the FA Cup tie against Tranmere Rovers earlier this year. Having spent pre-season with the first team group, he heads out to League Two Leyton Orient until January and he’ll be hopeful of getting some good game time under his belt.

Fellow Academy graduate Georgiou has penned a new contract with the club keeping him with us until 2021, and the 22-year-old winger will spend the rest of the year out in League One. Having made his debut for us in the Champions League clash with APOEL in September 2017, the now full Cyprus international will be looking to build on the experience he gained in the second half of last year during his spell with Levante II.
