Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer rumour mill sparked to life on Sunday with reports that we were close to striking a deal for PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn.
The 22-year-old full Dutch international has just broken through the 100 starting appearances barrier for the club, having progressed through their youth system and he’s scored an impressive 30 goals in 101 starts and 34 substitute showings, and in the 2019/20 campaign, the versatile attacker has chipped in with five goals and ten assists in their Eredivisie campaign.
According to The Mirror (and other media) it’s believed that a £30million deal is imminent for the player.
ESPN claimed that he had already travelled to London for further talks and to undergo a medical, presumably because he withdrew from their squad to face Twente on Sunday, and that’s only intensified the ‘imminent’ claims being made.
Especially with Sky Sports also stating that they’ve had confirmation of the deal from Eindhoven themselves.

It'll be interesting to see if he gets given the number 9 shirt or not. If he gets it, we can assume an out and out striker is unlikely to come in. If he doesn't, then we can infer that the management are perhaps saving it for a striker.
