With Inter Milan’s late move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen, the positive is we can at least bring that long running saga to an end of ‘will he go’ or ‘will he stay’.
With manager Jose Mourinho making his thoughts clear on the approach and reigniting a small war of words with Antonio Conte in the process, most fans I think expected quick progress this week with deadline day now approaching, but if reports in Italy are to be believed, it could all be done and dusted by the end of Monday.
Gazzetta dello Sport claimed on Sunday that Eriksen would arrive in Milan on Monday morning to undergo his medical and complete the formalities on the move, after a deal worth a reported 20million Euros was struck between both clubs over the weekend.
We’ll have to see if the deal does in fact go through tomorrow, but from our point of view, the sooner the better now so we can focus on some incomings.
