Tottenham have been linked with a move for Jarrod Bowen all season and latest reports hint that the Londoners could make an approach for the Hull City forward in January. Despite what stiff competition Bowen would come up against at Tottenham, a move could be on the cards as Spurs are believed to have scouted the 22-year-old throughout the campaign.
Bowen scored 14 goals in 2017/18 and has 13 goals to his name already this season. Mauricio Pochettino has Christian Eriksen, Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela who can play in a wider role when called upon, but only Moura and Lamela are naturals on the wing which may open the door for a new arrival to come in.
He told Sky Sports he was flattered at all the interest in his signature, saying: “There is always going to be interest in every single player when you play well, but I’ve got agents that represent me that take care of that and they didn’t say anything to me. It is nice to see your name linked to some teams, but I am a Hull City player and as far as I’m aware it is just rumours.”
Tottenham supporters would be open to Bowen being recruited in January too, with 68% of those polled backing a move for the Englishman. So long as the Hull forward doesn’t break the bank, he could be a low-risk gamble to bolster their attacking options. Time will tell if Spurs make a move before the winter transfer window shuts, however.
Jarrod Bowen is making a name for himself at Hull City after an impressive 18 months in the second tier.
