Transfer development should leave Levy weighing up cost of potential

|

According to Corriere Dello Sport – via Sport Witness – Sampdoria are looking for around £35m for defender Joachim Andersen.

Spurs recorded a good win over Brighton in the end last night as we eventually broke them down with Christian Eriksen’s late, late goal for the Lilywhites.

The top four remains well in our hands, then, and providing we qualify for the Champions League next season we’ll be looking to add to the squad.

Andersen, though, is going to cost some whack it appears and it makes you wonder whether we’ll really prioritise him when we could still get Toby Alderweireld signed on.

Certainly, I’d not say at centre-half is where we need massive additions providing we keep the players we’ve already got, but it seems as though we’ve got to weigh this up.

Levy will do it well, of that I have no doubt, but I will still be shocked if we see Toby leave and Andersen come in. There are some decisions to be made.
