Tottenham Hotspur appear to be edging closer to their first signing of the summer as fresh reports have emerged in Asia and supporters have been discussing it on social media as a result.

According to KBS, Spurs are in negotiations to sign South Korean centre-back Kim Min-jae from Beijing Guoan with the two teams wanting the transfer to happen.

It’s claimed that the Chinese Super League outfit are asking for just €17m (£15.5m) and the deal could be concluded by the 25th of July as that’s when the division restarts.

Would Kim Min-jae be an exciting signing for Spurs?

Yes, sign him up!

Sorry, who?

The 23-year-old was part of the same side as Heung-min Son when the Taeguk Warriors won the Asian Games in 2018 and stands at a towering 6 foot 3 inches.

And many in north London would absolutely love to see Min-jae join this summer, claiming that he could be a “gem” and that he’s a “beast”.

One supporter even suggester that he was a faster Harry Maguire – here’s the rest of the reaction…
