Spurs Word On The Tweet

“Absolute donkey” – Loads of Spurs fans destroy £23m “fraud” who is “worse than Chiriches”

|

Tottenham Hotspur boosted their chances of clinching European football for next season with a narrow victory in Sunday’s North London Derby.

Their arch-rivals took an early lead with an absolute thunderbolt from Alexandre Lacazette, but the lead lasted a matter of minutes as Heung-min Son broke free to dink a delightful effort over the visiting goalkeeper.

Arsenal were then made to pay in the second half when Toby Alderweireld met the South Korean’s corner with less than ten minutes left on the clock.

Jose Mourinho’s side, therefore, picked up a 2-1 victory and leapfrogged the Gunners into eighth position, just one win away from the Premier League’s top six teams.

Who would you rather play at right-back?

Serge Aurier

Kyle Walker-Peters

However, much of the Spurs faithful were left reeling by the performance of right-back Serge Aurier and not for the first time this season.

The 27-year-old was blasted for being everything from a “clown” to a “fraud” as well as a “total liability” whilst some were left begging the club to sell him as soon as possible.

Per SofaScore, Aurier lost possession 15 times, failed to deliver a single accurate cross from a massive five attempts and committed two fouls, one of which resulting in a yellow card.

No wonder many were left fuming with the Ivory Coast international, here’s the rest of the reaction to the £23m defender’s performance…

Some Hotspurs players seem to have lost grip totally. I am not seeing any coach doing well with this same team. What is needed now is new faces in defence wings, a good centre half, a good holding midfielder, a front winger and a striker. Mourinho performs well when he is well supported.

I on the other hand, was impressed today with Harry Kane. He rested for most of the game and then put in an effort in the last 20 minutes. It worked well. If we could convince Mourinho to rest him on the bench for the first 65-70 minutes, the rest of the team might perform better during the early part of the game. (The team could be 11 strong for one thing)

All you fans criticising in this cruel manner you’re not helping the team to improve.
Is this what boredom due to lockdown has done to you all? All you so called spurs fans shut it with your senseless remarks. Comparing the individual to an animal. The animal you are comparing people with have more sense than your foul comments.
    Shut It you senseless people.
