It is seemingly appearing that the departure of Christian Eriksen from Tottenham is becoming a matter of when and not if.
#thfc midfielder Christian Eriksen has everything agreed on a free transfer to Real Madrid. The player knows his role, has agreed personal terms and will be the club’s first summer signing. [El Desmarque]

The Danish playmaker’s future with Spurs has been murky since the 27-year-old midfielder announced after the Champions League final to The Telegraph that he wanted to leave Spurs to ‘try something new’ in his career, and now it appears that change is happening.
El Desmarque report via Sport Witness that Real Madrid have tied up a pre-contract move for Eriksen, allowing the midfielder to join the La Liga giants for free in the summer whilst the former Ajax playmaker remains at Tottenham for the season, and Spurs supporters on social media were keen on the Danish international failing under Zinadine Zidane.
Here’s what Tottenham fans had to say about Eriksen’s reported move to Real Madrid, with plenty of supporters hoping the playmaker flops with the Spanish giants…
As much as he has contributed to us, we must torture this snake by dropping him from this week onwards. Deprive him of game time and when he arrives in Madrid he’ll flop like Hazard.

Eriksen is one of three players who could leave Spurs for free next summer, with Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen also having their current contracts with the club expiring in 2020.
