With Tottenham Hotspur fans continuing to have high hopes for Academy graduate Marcus Edwards, the youngster has had a slow start to life out on loan in the Eredivisie, but in recent times he’s been taking some attention for his performances as he seems to have got himself going.
The 20-year-old didn’t have the best of times out on loan with Norwich City in the second half of last season, but having moved to Excelsior at the end of the summer window on a season long loan, he now boasts 12 starting appearances to his name in their league, with a further two showings from the bench.
Inside of the last five games, he’s also scored two goals for them and the one last weekend against FC Emmen set tongues wagging on social media as the spell really now seems to be turning into a success for him.

The attacking midfielder hit their leveller against Emmen, and then went on to add an assist for what became their winner.
Saw Marcus Edwards had a goal and an assist today. I hope he comes back this summer and proves he’s good enough to come on the summer tour #COYS

Ive seen his recent highlights and to my astonishment he's actually tracking back consistently. Let's hope his story with us isn't over yet.

As much as anything it seems he’s knuckled down which is great. Wonder if there’s a last chance saloon for him back at Spurs, but suspect not.

Whether it’s enough for another chance under manager Mauricio Pochettino remains to be seen, but at least he really seems to be building on his early potential now.
