New April White Hart Lane Delay Is Out Of Spurs’ Hands

|

This week has seen another blow to ongoing hopes of Tottenham Hotspur fans who are relishing the first game in our new class stadium.

With plenty of delays already this season given the original time frame stated for when we should’ve been back on home soil in the new 62,062 seater, the club have come a cropper once again but this time it’s completely out of our hands.

Crystal Palace’s progression through to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup this season as they took fifth round victory over Doncaster Rovers at the weekend has meant that having scrubbed the Arsenal clash as a target, Palace as our next best bet is also now out of the equation as the game will need to be rearranged in the fixture list.

With the Cup game expected to take place on the weekend of March 16/17, it means the next block of fixtures Spurs can looking at are in the first week of April according to Sky Sports.

With the international break getting in the way of real football, the next conceivable clash is Brighton on April 6 – but they are still in the FA Cup as well so that would be Cup weekend, and then we are looking at the Champions League as a possibility.

Either way, my head hurts, but that should give plenty of time for the two test events to take place and then we can really see progress.
