For those Tottenham Hotspur fans who have an interest in what otherwise is a distraction for the club – England – Sunday evening was probably pretty enjoyable with victory secured over Kosovo, but it wasn’t just Harry Kane who had a good night, midfielder Harry Winks scored his senior international goal.
Making the trip to Kosovo for the European Championship Qualifier, Winks opened the scoring for Gareth Southgate’s side 32 minutes into the game and in a lively final ten minutes, Kane made it two before the side ultimately took a 4-0 victory to make the night at least look a bit more comprehensive.
23-year-old Winks certainly appeared to be in a more advanced role for this game and plenty feel it suited his strengths more, as he’s come out of the game earning plenty of praise for his performance.
It’ll ultimately be a night he remembers fondly having found the back of the net and I’m presuming few fans would disagree with him.
