Spurs Rule Four Players Out For Bournemouth, One Remains A Doubt But Poch Can Call On These Two Again

|

With Tottenham Hotspur looking to secure our top four spot in the Premier League table this weekend by taking victory over Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side, the club have now confirmed (as largely expected I think) that manager Mauricio Pochettino will be unable to call on four players.

Serge Aurier remains out with his hamstring injury, as does Harry Kane with his ankle problem. Erik Lamela continues his own rehabilitation from his own hamstring issue and having undergone surgery recently, Harry Winks remains out with his groin problem.

After Jan Vertonghen’s worrying knock on Tuesday evening in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final tie with Ajax, the club have confirmed that he continues to be under assessment but I’d personally be amazed if he was in the match day squad for this game, purely as a precautionary measure.

So largely as we were as we look to take the win and tick one box in the 2018/19 campaign and then it’s the proverbial ‘balls to the walls’ attempt in the Ajax second leg with history still on the horizon.

Vincent Janssen comes back into Poch’s thought’s though having been ineligible in midweek, as does Son Heung-Min after his suspension in European competition.
