Match Thread – Howe Will Spurs Approach Bournemouth

|

With disappointment on Tuesday evening in our Champions League clash with Ajax, the Semi-Final tie is well alive still and a full bloodied effort in the second leg can still turn the aggregate result in our favour.

Ahead of that game though, with Spurs players clearly beginning to pay for their efforts this year as fatigue kicks in (we’ve had it since August apparently) one more strong effort against Bournemouth on Saturday means that the final game of the 2018/19 campaign against Everton becomes the proverbial dead rubber, as a top four finish would be secured.

Do we get the win on Saturday and take the pressure off or let it go down to the final day and have more recuperation time for the trip to Holland?

I doubt I’m alone in thinking sort the top four out this weekend and then don’t train until Tuesday, and whatever happens against Everton, if it works out in the next two, we’ll happily swallow that.

We can definitely expect some changes for Eddie Howe’s side though given our lethargic first half, but we’re on the cusp of our main aim for the season and certainly not out of what would be an absolute dream end to 2018/19.

We just have to dig deep.
