Spurs man helps reduce fears about Harry Kane’s injury

|

Tottenham were not excellent yesterday lunchtime – they simply did not need to be.

It was a controlled, professional stroll in the park against an already relegated side and a 4-0 win will do nicely as the top four race continues on.

Certainly, with a number of changes made to the side we might have felt a disjointed performance was going to be on the way but, in fact, the opposite happened.

And, up top, amid all the Harry Kane injury concerns, a deputy striker came in and did a good job – Fernando Llorente.

The Spanish forward hasn’t played much, of course, and it’s not always gone for him on the pitch but, whilst he did not score yesterday, he put in one of his best performances in in a white shirt.

He was busy, he was a nuisance and he came so close to scoring a few times – all signs that his confidence is up.

The Kane fears will never leave completely, but they will have shrunk somewhat after that.
