West Ham have been linked with a move for Victor Wanyama but I think after today’s fantastic performance the Hammers can forget all about that.
Victor has struggled for game time for various reasons and the growing suggestion has been that he’d leave the club in the summer window in order to start playing more.
He earned a rare start for the game with Huddersfield, though, and reminded us of the dynamo of a midfielder he can be against the Terriers.
He scored a lovely goal as he rounded their goalkeeper whilst his all round bullishness and bite in the middle of the park gave them little chance to build.
Surely, he has to be in the running to play Manchester City in the Champions League given the performance and the fact we’ll be looking to defend well at the Etihad.
It was excellent, and a summer exit might well be put off now.
