Spurs lining up class move for midfielder that’s got 1 goal just over every 3 games

|

According to Football Insider, Spurs are looking at Lyon wideman Maxwel Cornet this summer in a move that could add a missing piece to our side.

The Lyon man tore into Manchester City earlier on this season in the Champions League and racked up a decent return of ten goals in 35 games this year, as well as another five assists.

Not a bad return for someone that is often out on the flanks, then, and that is the sort of signing we need to be adding to our club.

What the fee would be remains to be seen but it is clear that in playing in France he might well be that little bit cheaper than the equivalent talent in the Premier League.

A wide midfielder or winger, he would provide versatility and thrust to the side and with the likes of Son and Lucas Moura also in the team we’d certainly have directness all over the pitch if he joined.
