It’s fair to say that most Tottenham Hotspur fans don’t really know what to expect from summer arrival Jack Clarke – but it will be 12 months before we see him at White Hart Lane given the deal to sign him from Leeds United saw him return to Elland Road for the remainder of the 2019/20 Championship campaign.
With the EFL Cup first round ties being played on Tuesday evening, the 18-year-old was back in Marcelo Bielsa’s starting lineup as they faced Salford City. The game was only his sixth senior start following his rise from their Academy in 2018/19, but it’s fair to say the young lad took his chance to impress as they fought to a 3-0 victory, and for those Spurs fans who were watching on and following the game, he certainly created an impression on them.
Reacting to his 70 minute runout in the game on social media, these fans think we have picked up another talent, if he now develops as we no doubt expect him to.

Clarke Leeds best player so far. Always moving. Can run at a player. Looks at ease playing in a pich-esque system #thfc

2nd Half
I couldn't watch the entire second half, but Clarke seemed to be quiet for the 15 minutes I did catch.
He was pulled off in the 70th minute, but I thought he played well during his time on the pitch.
That kid loves a sole role more than Lamela lol

Very good at beating his man, but the end product hasn't been there. But in all fairness Salford have defended well
