Spurs Word On The Tweet

“Should be playing in a Bournemouth shirt” – These Spurs fans batter “appalling” £28.8m star

|

Following our lacklustre stalemate on the south coast away to Bournemouth on Thursday evening, some Lilywhites have flocked to social media in order to voice their concerns over £28.8 million-valued midfielder Harry Winks – despite the fact he was out standout midfield player during the match according to SofaScore

Indeed, Jose Mourinho’s side took another bump in their quest for European qualification, with Leicester City now 10 points clear of us in fourth and Man United firmly leading the race for a Europa League spot in fifth.

Was Harry Winks one of our worst performers against Bournemouth?

Yes, 100%

Not even close

Three points against the Cherries could have helped us reduce the gap ahead of our north London derby encounter on Sunday, but we didn’t even muster a single shot on target – with the Lilywhites’ best chances coming in the form of a denied penalty and a header glanced wide by Erik Lamela.

However, despite completing 91% of his passes, these Spurs supporters have fumed at Winks in particular – going on to claim that he should be playing for Bournemouth.

I didn’t see the game only the poor highlights(joke) so not in position to rate players, only thing I can rate is the continual poor performance of the manager Jose Mourinho, I don’t see that he’s particularly convinced by any of the players at his disposal, no Jose of old charging up an down the technical area now he just sits in his seat looking totally disconnected from what’s going on, I dead to think of what’s going to happen Sunday, I didn’t see a team or a manager believing that even a 1-0 scrappy wi would have moved us up to 6th and just about still in for a shot at Europe, its hard to see anything changing next season as can’t see anyone being sold on to bring in fresh blood as no one in their right mind would make an offer for any of our team, and sorry to say that includes Kane, who also is not having the best end of season.
