Tottenham fans were right to get excited over the signing of Tanguy Ndombele over the summer. The Frenchman is one hell of a player and he’s been brilliant when he’s been on the pitch, however, his fitness seems to be something that’s lacking, as on the weekend he was hooked with what appeared to be an injury, but has now been confirmed as just fatigue.

The fans obviously love the Frenchman, and they’ll be keen to see him starting as much as possible. However, it is much easier said than done and even after starting against Sheffield United on the weekend he was hooked at half-time, with France manager Didier Deschamps now confirming that it was purely because of fatigue (L’Equipe).
When Ndombele finds his feet properly in the Premier League and starts to adapt to the physical demands of it there are no doubts that he’ll be a top player, but it will take time for him to get up to speed, and until then the supporters are going to be left frustrated with his lack of game time.
Is Tanguy Ndombele our best midfielder?
Yes!
No!
You can read the Lilywhites’ verdict on Ndombele here:
How on earth has he cost us £60m+ when he can’t play twice in a week? Fantastically talented player, but that is shocking fitness.

He’s an amazing player, but looks so unfit. Once that’s sorted out, he will be an ultimate force.

The Lilywhites are far from happy with the fitness concerns that Ndombele has, although when he gets on top of them he’ll be a real force.
