After the club posted a video of Oliver Skipp returning to his old school this week, it seems as if a lot of Spurs fans do not rate the 19-year-old and feel as if the midfielder will never make his impact in the first-team.
Skipp, who is a product of the youth academy, made his first senior appearance for the club as a late substitute in our 3-1 win over West Ham in last season’s Carabao Cup. ‘Skippy’ has struggled for first-team action this season, however, with his one start coming in our cup defeat to Colchester in September.
With the arrivals of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso it was perhaps always likely that the youngster would struggle to make an impact this season, so maybe a loan move would prove the best solution for both Mauricio Pochettino and Skipp for his long-term development.
Some Spurs fans are already keen to see the 19-year-old leave permanently however with the Englishman failing to make an impression on some fans in his limited appearances so far.
Should Oliver Skipp be given more time at the club?
Yes
No
Thoughts from Spurs fans on Skipp can be seen in the tweets below.
Skipp seems like a really nice guy. Glad to see a modern day academy player not have the ego of a 747

Has he got what it takes? One of those kids went by him like he wasn’t even there.

Players like Tanguy Ndombele, Juan Foyth, Giovani Lo Celso, Ryan Sessegnon, Troy Parrott, Oliver Skipp, Harry Winks, among others who are young, lively, and actually want to give their all for the badge on the shirt, deserve their chance

Oliver Skipp moved to Madrid and is now classed as the best DM the world has ever seen, he has a spurs tattoo and said he wanted a move back

It seems as if some Spurs fans are more willing to give Skipp some time at the club and so they should be, as he is still only 19-years-old and has plenty of time to make his impact yet.
