Being a Tottenham fan during the 2019/20 season has been a difficult task, and it isn’t just the men’s senior side that are causing supporters frustration.

Tottenham’s U-21 side crashed out of the EFL Trophy last night as Spurs’ main development side fell to a 2-0 defeat to League One side Gillingham, meaning the north London side finish Group I rock bottom with just one win out of free games and two defeats.
Can Spurs Still Make The Top Four?
Definitely
Abandon All Hope
It's The Bottom Four We Should Be Concerned About
Although the EFL Trophy is a tournament aimed for League One and Two sides as well as U-21 Premier League sides, the result was still poor enough to frustrate plenty of Tottenham fans on social media, who were shocked to see their development side lose to Gillingham and saw it as a sign of the club’s sharp decline at all levels this season.
Tottenham currently find themselves 14th in the Premier League table and already out of the League Cup where Mauricio Pochettino’s side lost to Colchester United via penalties, a team that Spurs U-21 side managed to beat via a shootout in the EFL Trophy.
Here’s what Tottenham fans had to say about the 2-0 defeat to Gillingham on Twitter…
Oh god ! Need to change everything here right from u18, u21 and woman’s team. No talent no inspiration nothing. Youth like Parrot and Skipp has to be given early chances not when they are in their 22’s potential is lost by then. Learn from Chealsea, United, City and Arsenal

The international break will give Spurs supporters a well-needed break from Tottenham, who next play on the 23rd November.
