“Please come home” – Many Spurs fans are begging for former international striker to come back

“One of my favourite players” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have turned a tribute post about Jermain Defoe into a plea to get him back.

Yesterday was the former Tottenham man’s birthday, and Spurs’ official Twitter account posted a tribute video about Defoe, and a lot of fans used the post to beg for him to come back.

The 37-year-old is currently with Rangers on loan, and he tops the SPFL scoring charts with nine goals and has 12 in all competitions.

Even in his advancing years, he is still a natural goalscorer. Tottenham only have Harry Kane and Troy Parrott available as strikers – so bringing Defoe back probably wouldn’t be a bad idea!

Certainly, these Spurs fans want to see Defoe back in a Tottenham shirt.
