News: Ex-Premier League winner struggles to understand the difficulties facing Tottenham

|

Tim Sherwood has claimed that “Everything is great at Tottenham” in a bizarre interview with talkSPORT the former Spurs boss believes that everything is going well at the moment despite numerous reports saying the exact opposite!

Sherwood called the current situation “A bump in the road.”

Now, if the bump was the size of a mountain, he may be onto something, but this all just seems wrong from Sherwood.

A man who has in the past come out with some odd opinions on football – so it should not be a surprise that he is claiming everything is fine even though Eric Dier called the current situation a crisis.

Tottenham have had a bad season, and apart from the 4-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace, they have not played well in any game.

Spurs are also out of the Carabao Cup – which was a serious chance to win a trophy, and a lot of the players are unsettled.

So, apart from all that yeah, Sherwood is right everything is great at Spurs.

The only thing he got right in this interview was his view on Mauricio Pochettino’s future with the former Blackburn Rovers player adamant that Daniel Levy will not sack Poch.

Levy is a smart businessman, and he must understand that Poch is a huge asset to the club, and he must be allowed to rebuild Spurs.

Sherwood’s interview was either an attempt at blind optimism at the current predicament, or he actually believes what he is saying and is therefore deluded.

Certainly, Spurs are in trouble at the moment, and Sherwood cannot seriously believe everything is fine.
