‘Perfect time to buy’, ‘Wouldn’t complain’ – A lot of Tottenham fans loved suggested signing

|

Tottenham fans will have to brace themselves over the next year or so as transfer rumours will come thick and fast. One of those rumours is yet to properly solidify, but the latest news is that Rafael Van der Vaart has claimed to have texted Daniel Levy telling him to sign Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech (Sky Sports).

The Ajax midfield man is a wonderful talent, and you don’t have to show Tottenham fans any highlight reels seeing as they’ve already seen him at his blistering best, as he scored a wonderful goal against the Lilywhites in that famous 3-2 win the North London side recorded in Amsterdam.

However, with Christian Eriksen’s contract expiring at the end of the season (Transfermarkt) and Levy and Mauricio Pochettino likely to start looking for a new #10 to fill the creative void, it could be a safe bet to go with Van der Vaart’s advice and sign Ziyech, who scored 21 and assisted 24 throughout the 2018/19 season (Transfermarkt).

You can see what the Lilywhites made of the Ziyech news here:

The supporters quite clearly love the idea of poaching Ziyech, and who can blame them given his creative output.
