Tottenham suffered a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday and Christian Eriksen was one of the players who underperformed. The 27-year-old has been inconsistent this season and was criticised by supporters on social media after another below-par showing.
Eriksen started in a three-pronged attack with Heung-min Son and Harry Kane, but he didn’t make much of an impact at Anfield. He was wasteful in possession and didn’t link up well with his teammates. Some fans now want him gone from Tottenham as a result.

Football is today & tomorrow. Not yesterday. That is what Poch says. That is why players like Wanyama, Aurier, Rose and Eriksen should not play for Spurs again. But Thanks for good service.
This is why I would also make Gazzaniga permanent first choice keeper. Lloris past. #THFC— David Williams (@DavidWilliamsDK) October 28, 2019
Our 1st XI needs to be: Gazzaniga Foyth Sanchez Alderweireld Davies Ndombele Sissoko Lamela Lo Celso Son and Kane
Then sprinkle in: Lucas Sessegnon Winks Alli Skipp Parrott Dier Vertonghen and Tanganga on occasion
And absolutely NO Eriksen, Aurier, Rose anywhere near team #THFC

Is anyone starting to think that the decision to play Eriksen comes from those above Poch. Maybe by playing him, they are hoping a team will come in with a bid in January. His performances shouldn’t even merit any move at all but yet Poch keeps playing him. #COYS #THFC

Eriksen should be relegated to reserve team football for the rest of his Spurs career I never want to see him again.

Against Liverpool, Eriksen played for 87 minutes, made 38 touches, had one shot, completed 59.3% of his 27 passes and whipped in three crosses – only one of which found a Tottenham player. He failed to register a shot on target, create a chance, complete a dribble and was hooked for Giovani Lo Celso.
The Danish international has made 12 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring and creating two goals. He’s regularly featured under Mauricio Pochettino despite his inconsistency, but time will tell if he starts against Everton on November 3.
When Lo Celso is fit enough to start, he may be taking Eriksen’s place.
