Tottenham fans, and all football fans for that matter, have recently been given the news of the 40 man list of Ballon d’Or nominees. Of those 40, two hail from North London and The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, one of those is Heung-Min Son whilst the other is the reigning World Cup winning captain Hugo Lloris.
Hugo has also been nominated for the 2019 #yachinetrophy. https://t.co/S2lD979vzX

However, a lot of fans have been quick to shoot down Lloris after his nomination. The Frenchman has certainly had some good performances throughout 2019, but he’s also dropped some clangers. He certainly hasn’t been in the top 40 footballers in the world this year, yet he’s still been put forward.
As a result of that, a lot of fans, including plenty of Tottenham supporters, have been quick to shun their captain for his efforts and laugh off his nomination. There is no harm done, seeing as the worst that will happen is Lloris will pick up no votes, but the Lilywhites have been quick to have their say.

Is this nomination for all the howlers?

The Lilywhites haven’t all been very complimentary of their skipper, yet the Frenchman has been a valued member of the Spurs squad and doesn’t deserve some of the criticism he gets.
