According to a report from the Telegraph, Spurs are gearing up for a ‘lean‘ summer transfer window where they will only target free agents in order to not spend money – with both the club and fierce rivals Arsenal now gearing up to battle for Willian’s signature.
Indeed, the impact of a current global pandemic has apparently forced chairman Daniel Levy and co to reconsider ambitious transfer dealings – opting to mainly target free agents instead.
Should Spurs sign Willian and only focus on free agents?
Yes
No
Chelsea’s out-of-contract winger has emerged as the seemingly perfect candidate for Spurs given their financial stance, but Tottenham fans aren’t exactly happy with this latest update.
However, according to Telegraph journalist Matt Law, this stance could change if ‘leading players are sold’.
Regardless, some Lilywhites have theorised this latest report is ‘Levy’s latest excuse‘ – with another fan going as far to say signing the Brazilian makes him feel ‘nauseous’.

Don’t want Willian. Also, how are Spurs more affected than anyone else or is it Levy’s latest excuse. I understand that money is tighter but Spurs should not be different
