Indication given that player unrest could potentially be around the corner involving contract

|

Spurs are on the brink of a big few days as we take on West Ham in the Premier League this weekend and then take on Ajax in the Champions League next week.

It’s been a hectic season and we still have something to play for – namely, the biggest club competition in the sport.

Plenty to get excited about too, then, but something we need to pay attention to is the willingness of the players to see Christian Eriksen staying.

Indeed, as quoted by Sky Sports, Danny Rose revealed that it would be vital that the Danish midfielder stays put:

“It’s obviously vital [that Eriksen stays]. If you look over the five years that the manager’s been here, Christian has played the most games and that says a lot.”

I know plenty of the fan-base is sometimes a little torn by Eriksen but it is safe to say that we’d be annoying a fair few players if we can’t get a contract sorted.

Players want the best to stick around, losing him would be a real blow and a sign of a lack of ambition.
