Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans have had their say on Kieran Trippier’s reasons for leaving us back in the summer.
Speaking to football.london, he said that leaving Spurs in the summer and going to work for Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid was a “no-brainer”, and admitted that it was time for a change in his career. Trippier scored just two goals and provided 24 assists in 114 appearances for the club over a period of four seasons, as per TransferMarkt.
Would you have Kieran Trippier back at Tottenham?
Yes
No
Trippier was in the Atleti side that knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League on Wednesday after beating the Reds 3-2 at Anfield, in a game that had to be settled by extra time.
To show their respect, supporters praised Trippier’s words and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said “good for him”, while another was impressed how much he has matured since leaving north London.
Good for him

We were too harsh on him last season. Outworked with no time to rest have taken a toll on his form. Im glad that he redeem himself at Atleti and proved us wrong to let him go.
