With the injury to Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane the other week in the Champions League quarter-final clash with Manchester City at White Hart Lane, it didn’t take some Spurs fans long to again call on manager Mauricio Pochettino to give young talent Troy Parrott a spot on the bench as an alternative option to Fernando Llorente or even Vincent Jansson.
The Republic of Ireland Under 19 international has just made a comeback from injury himself and he’s certainly hit the ground running again with our Under 23s, as he bagged a brace in our recent game with Swansea City to return all three points.
Very important win tonight, another 2 goals and a good team performance, onto the last one ???????? #COYS https://t.co/RR9WIjbqFr

Taking to social media to react to the win, Parrott’s Tweet got the predictable response from fans who are eager to see him make the step up given his progress in our youth ranks across the season so far.
Whilst few would expect to see him later this evening given the gravity of the clash, I can certainly understand the calls as a bench option for the league City tie, or for our Premier League clash with Brighton next midweek.
PROMOTE HIM TO THE FIRST TEAM PLEASE
