It feels like Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a raid on Crystal Palace for talented attacker Wilfried Zaha at least once a month for the last decade and with preparations continuing for what all fans hope will be a big summer at the club, the transfer rumour mill is again growing manager Mauricio Pochettino’s interest in the lad.
The Ivory Coast international does have a long term deal at Selhurst Park and the other year he did appear to be one of our top targets for a while, until the speculation died when he put pen to paper, but have of course seen this previously from the media.
With Zaha having had another good campaign in 2018/19 where he seems to have developed further and really added a bit more consistency to his game, the Daily Mail claimed this week that he has met with chairman Steve Parish and officially asked to leave if a club playing Champions League football comes in for him.
It’s still rumoured this would cost £80million, but I don’t believe that’s his official release fee, it’s just the favoured fee the media claim Palace want to get a deal done.
Reacting to the news about the 26-year-old, plenty of fans would still support such a move.
In a Palace side that lacks quality as it stands. Imagine him around other top players… he would be an unbelievable signing

I’d do many things to see Zaha in a Spurs shirt

Zaha would be a good signing for us – we need another player who can play anywhere across the front 3 as we’ll never sign a great back up striker for Kane #THFC
