Following the draw at the beginning of the week, Spurs fans were aware that the game would be set for the weekend beginning January 4 to January 7 and as luck would have it, we’ve been given the worst possible slot for fans who were looking forward to travelling to the game.
The match against either of the eventual opponents has been confirmed for 7.45pm on Friday January 4 and it will also be shown live by BT Sport.
Taking to social media to react to the timeslot, with a long trip earlier that week (New Year’s Day) for an evening kickoff against Cardiff City as well, plenty of fans weren’t happy.
Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday, Tuesday, Friday. Five games in 12 days. Do the Premier League and TV companies think that our players are machines? Absolutely ridiculous scheduling. No wonder there is talk of a breakaway. #COYS #THFC

Stupid. I know I won't be able to get a ticket but surely you gotta think about the fans… Traveling to the game.

So away to cardiff on the 1st then away to tranmere or Southport 3 days later.. Whats the point in coming home??

Stupid decision. No thought for fans travelling from London.

Once again TV show no respect for supporters.
BT also showing Woking v Watford on Sunday at 14.00 but we have to travel for 4 or 5 hours on a Friday night????????????— Steve Smith (@smudgeyid) December 6, 2018
Two massively inconveniencing trips in one week will have an effect on those travelling, but there’s not much we can do about it unless you are going to take the week off work and go for a jolly up North.
