Tottenham Hotspur youngster Oliver Skipp has long been highly rated in our Academy setup and the season of 2018/19 has only seen his stock rise with further impressive performances within our under age groups.
With manager Mauricio Pochettino giving the 18-year-old his senior bow back at the end of October as a substitute in our EFL Cup victory over West Ham United, he’s now followed that up with his Premier League debut in this week’s win over Southampton at Wembley Stadium.
What a moment for this young man 🙌

Although it was only a cameo appearance as he replaced Kieren Trippier in the 87th minute of the game, it would’ve no doubt been a massive confidence boost for the lad and Poch, whilst laying down the challenge to him post-game, he was also full of praise for the potential future he has ahead of him.
“With Oliver it’s only about time. If he is capable of working how he’s working and doing in the future the energy and he’s behaving now, I think his future will be bright. We were thinking in the last few months to give him the opportunity to play in the Premier League but for different things it wasn’t possible. I think he’s a player that we believe a lot in and I hope that he continues growing. For sure, he will be, I hope and wish, a great player for this club.”
