“Bring Him In For Kane” “Beast” – Highly Rated Spurs Attacker Stakes His Claim & These Fans Support It

|

Following on from the injury sustained by Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane in Tuesday evening’s victory over Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final first leg at our new White Hart Lane Stadium, fans are eagerly hoping to hear that there is some positive news for the 25-year-old when the scans and assessments are done later today.

With most worrying that he’ll be out for the season with his ankle issue, and others believing that with him picking up consistent ankle injuries in recent years that he should take time off until next pre-season to fully recover, thoughts have turned to potential replacements.

Fernando Llorente, Vincent Jansson, Son Heung-Min and almost as expected, there is again a groundswell of support for young emerging talent Troy Parrott to now get a first team berth – at least on the substitutes’ bench as an alternative option.

Everyone who keeps a brief eye on our next generation knows how highly rated Parrott is and what he’s capable of doing in our youth levels and his development certainly seems ahead of the curve – so much so he was photoed training with the first team when Kane was last out injured.

As before, if manager Mauricio Pochettino believes he’s ready for the step up, even the odd ten minutes here and there, fans will see the 17-year-old prospect. It is fair to say though he’s only just returned from injury himself and he has three games in five days under his belt, but he did score twice in the Under 18 clash against Chelsea on Wednesday afternoon which has brought him back to the forefront of minds.
