Moussa Sissoko impressed in Tottenham’s 6-2 win over Everton on Sunday and celebrated his 100th appearance for the Londoners. Sissoko was praised by supporters on social media after an all-action performance at Goodison Park and should be proud of his dramatic turnaround this season. He was once a scapegoat but is now one of the most beloved players in the squad.
Merry Xmas. You’ve been absolutely brilliant this season

Congratulations Moussa on your 100th appearance for the club, you are testament to the phrase of ‘never give up’.
It’s been a joy to watch you grow in a Spurs shirt over the last few months, and I’m so pleased for you personally that you are getting the recognition you deserve.

The 29-year-old made his 13th Premier League appearance of the campaign against Everton, his 12th on the bounce in the top flight. Despite not having a hand in any one of Tottenham’s six goals, Sissoko performed well against the Toffees. He made one chance, 76 touches, two dribbles, four tackles and two interceptions, being effective in both penalty areas.
Sissoko has turned fans’ perceptions around in the last few months. He was frequently criticised upon his arrival from Newcastle United in August 2016 but has been a key player under Mauricio Pochettino this season. The French international started Tottenham’s first game of the 2018/19 campaign but had to wait nearly two months before playing again in the league.
He’s been a regular in midfield ever since and continued such impressive form against Everton.
