Harry Kane scored two goals in Tottenham’s 6-2 win over Everton, taking his Premier League tally to 11 for the season. The 25-year-old had gone four games in all competitions without finding the back of the net – firing blanks against Leicester City (Premier League), Barcelona (Champions League), Burnley (Premier League) and Arsenal (EFL Cup) this month – but he made no mistake at Goodison Park on Sunday.
After Dele Alli put Tottenham 2-1 up away to Everton, Kane got himself in on the act with their third goal just minutes before half-time. He wrapped up the scoring in the 74th minute after an assist from Heung-min Son. Some supporters were delighted with Kane’s performance and took to social media to laud his efforts. He had eight shots on the day and converted 25% of his chances.

Tottenham stayed third after their big win over Everton and now find themselves just two points adrift of second-placed Manchester City after 18 games. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are five points clear of fourth-placed Chelsea and have now won four consecutive Premier League games, scoring 12 goals for their troubles. They have Kane to thank for his notable contribution against Everton.
