Spurs Scoreline Is A Present For Poch’s “Wife” As Special 2-6 Score Carries Meaning

|

Tottenham Hotspur continued their Premier League campaign earlier this evening with a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton.

The hosts did open the scoring on the day, but manager Mauricio Pochettino saw us respond in the correct manner and we were quickly back on level terms through Son Heung-Min, before Dele Alli and Harry Kane both got themselves on the scoresheet to send us into the break with a 3-1 advantage.

The game continued to explode into life in the second period as Christian Eriksen added himself to the scoresheet and then Sonny and Kane both completed braces on the day and with the hosts also finding a second goal for their efforts, it created an eight-goal thriller with six of the strikes in our favour as we took the incredible comfortable victory.

The only downside from the game was the atrocious challenge from Jordan Pickford on Dele Alli that led to him not returning to the pitch in the second half – it should’ve easily been a red for many.

Speaking to the BBC following the fulltime whistle, a delighted Poch explained.

“It’s my present for my wife. We got married 26 years ago. And a fantastic way to celebrate tonight.”

As for Alli’s injury, he did set minds at rest.

“He didn’t feel a big problem. Maybe a little bit tired from Wednesday. I hope it’s not a big issue. It was a precaution.”
