Early on Wednesday morning, Tottenham Hotspur Academy graduate Cameron Carter-Vickers took to the pitch for the US national side in their game against Peru.
The 20-year-old is spending the season away from White Hart Lane as he continues to develop and grow his experience on a loan spell with second-tier side Swansea City and a number of fans continue to keep a close eye on his progress. They are liking what they see so far from the defender, as even though he’s only made one start and one substitute showing for the Liberty Stadium outfit in 2018/19, his Peru showing gave plenty of positives.
Taking to social media to react to the 1-1 draw, a number feel he continues to develop nicely and they are looking forward to having him back in the fold.
Josh Sergeant is a beast ✔
Reggie Cannon didn't play bad ✔
Carter Vickers is solid (although that goal went right in front of him and Yedlin)
Patience and a permanent coach is what we need.#USMNT #HereForTheFuture— Nag_News (@Nag_News) October 17, 2018
That was clown show cameo by Yedlin. THat is exactly why he's not at Spurs anymore. Got to defend first.

Just watched Cameron Carter-Vickers put in a good performance for the #USMNT against Peru. CCV had good positioning throughout the match and made several timely clearances. Former Spur Deandre Yedlin failed to track a Peru attacker on the equalizer #THFC #USMNT pic.twitter.com/iSKWHva25H

Very good match by him. Last one against Mexico also played well.

#USMNT this back 4 deserves a shot at England. Yedlin shows multiple times why he doesn’t deserve to be our right back. Carter-Vickers, Long, Sweat, and Cannon played great.

Shame about that goal bc Cameron Carter-Vickers is my MOTM tonight. He’s been excellent both in defense and playing out from the back.

If there was one player in the first half who I'd say had their stock go up, it would be Cameron Carter-Vickers. He made some very solid defensive plays and made difficult clearances and tackles look relatively simple. Really hope he can start getting playing time with Swansea.

Really like Cameron Carter-Vickers at center back

It’s fair to say the US fans that commented were also pleased with his efforts in what was a more inexperienced lineup for this tie and they felt they were unlucky to not come out with a win.
