Transfer News: Jose Mourinho looking to add 22-year-old Los Blancos ace to this Tottenham squad

|

Tottenham fans are desperate to see their side bring in a new striker, and whilst Jose Mourinho is also keen on bringing in a goalscorer, it’s hard to see a way in which the Lilywhites can sign a striker when thinking long term given how impressive Harry Kane is when he’s fit.

However, the reports are in, and the latest news is that the Likywhites could be set to make a move for the young striker Luka Jovic. The Serbian is at Real Madrid, yet under Zinedine Zidane he’s hardly featured, scoring just once in La Liga this season (Transfermarkt), after making a big money from Eintracht Frankfurt (BBC).

It is now being claimed by one Spanish outlet, Defensa Central, that the Lilywhites could be set to take the Serbian striker off of the hands of the Spanish giants, which would be made easier by the fact that Jose Mourinho has a fantastic relationship with Madrid president Florentino President.

The article claims:

‘Mourinho is looking for a ‘9’ that supersedes the injured, and has requested the transfer of Jovic, taking advantage of his good relationship with Florentino.’

‘Jovic has had 17 appearances this season, spread over 598 minutes. He has scored a goal and has given an assist. The Serbian player’s season has not started as expected, compared to last year at Eintracht. In Real Madrid they are willing to wait, they know that Jovic is a killer and needs time to accommodate the team’s philosophy.’

Will Spurs Replace Kane In The Transfer Window?

We Have To

No Chance

With this being said, the supporters could do with bringing in a new forward, and even if it is just the case of bringing in Jovic on a loan deal, it would certainly plug a hole that the Lilywhites have got in their squad for the next few months.
