“Tottenham Would Be A Good Stage For Him” – Pundit Tips Spurs For This Summer Capture

|

Barely a day goes by without Tottenham Hotspur being linked with a summer swoop for highly rated Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon.

The other day it was claimed that the 18-year-old talent would prefer a move to Spurs to stay in London rather than making the switch out to other regularly named clubs like Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus – (Click Here) and given his age and the lure of the Capitol, there is a real sense behind that belief.

As is Sessegnon potentially seeing manager Mauricio Pochettino as the best option for his more immediate development given what the Argentine gaffer has helped do with the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli following his arrival from Southampton all those years ago.

I’m not quite sure how former footballer Danny Mills would know for sure, but he was pretty adamant in a recent interview that he was convinced Sessegnon would be ours come next season.

“He will go to Spurs and he will learn from Mauricio Pochettino. Sessegnon will probably play half the games next season and be a squad player. Would he get in ahead of Son Heung-Min or Lucas Moura? Certainly not at the moment. But Tottenham would be a good stage for him and it’ll be the perfect move. He hasn’t been a regular starter for Fulham, so can’t expect to be starting at Tottenham on a regular basis.”

With the versatile youngster making 26 starts as Fulham struggled in the Premier League, along with nine substitute showings, I’m not sure how that tallies with ‘he hasn’t been a regular starter’ but the point about him accepting our usual rotation does hold from those statistics.

This story is now definitely feeding itself and has been for a while in fairness, but the young lad does have his supporters in our fanbase who would be delighted to him arrive at the club.
