Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to reports suggesting that they have submitted a bid for Lille centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes.
According to Fichajes.net, Spurs have offered €30m (£27m) for the Brazilian ahead of a potential summer switch to north London.
It’s claimed that manager Jose Mourinho has personally requested the club sign Gabriel with the Portuguese boss chasing defensive reinforcements ahead of next season.
Both Real Madrid and Napoli are said to hold interest in him, too.
Should Gabriel be signed to replace Vertonghen?
Absolutely!
No, next!
Much of the Spurs faithful have been drooling over the prospect of landing him ahead of their rivals, claiming that he’s “insane” and would definitely be a “great buy” for the club.
The Lille colossus has featured 30 times this campaign where he has averaged 3.3 clearances, 1.8 tackles and 1.2 interceptions per game, via WhoScored. Gabriel is also winning 3.2 aerial duels and has even racked up 61.8 passes from defence each match.
With Jan Vertonghen on his way out next month, this could certainly be an interesting replacement for Spurs.

He's really good. His playing style reminds me of Jan. That said, I'm quite happy with Dier, Sanchez and Toby too.
